Processions 2018 was a national celebration of 100 years of women’s suffrage in the UK. 100 arts organisations were specifically invited to make featured banners for a simultaneous women’s march in the four UK capitals , which was open to all women. Mandy McIntosh was invited to make a banner at the Tannahill Centre with women from Ferguslie Park. She raised class issues within the celebration and encouraged women to speak in their own language and say exactly what they felt was important. The women also composed songs to sing on the day. The banner featured notable women from Ferguslie Park and features key women in discussion during one of the workshops. The large textile banner was carried in Edinburgh by the women of Ferguslie with thousands of other women from all over Scotland.
