Arbroath2020 +1 Pageant for Gallivants

Creating imagery for window based vinyl artworks which will form a clattering cavalry of Arbroath citizens past and present, replacing the populated procession format with a visual cacophony. Featured here is Henry Taylor Wyse, (1870-1951) an Arts and Craft maker, activist and educator who was from Arbroath and worked from there on furniture typography pottery and book designs.

This mass artwork on the High Street and other environs encapsulates the collective community arts spirit of the project which was postponed in 2020 by COVID restrictions. Commissioned as a people’s procession to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the Treaty of Arbroath, the re-versioning of makes and thoughts will be staged throughout July 2021 in the town.
